Countries see Japan’s trash-to-energy plants as solution to garbage woes
Rubber chicken, stat!
Dedicated members of the community turned out for the latest Napa River cleanup to find lots of items, some surprising, most expected. Among the regular array of cigarette butts, plastic, and trash were found a bicycle seat, driver’s license, pay stub and even a rubber chicken. Though it is never great to see all the trash that is simply thrown down by careless individuals, several volunteers say the volume of trash has diminished over the years as awareness has grown. That’s great news for our planet.
